It's my pleasure to invite you to join us free at our last summer cheer and tumbling clinic this year, as we support the Naperville Humane Society! Please join us on Monday, July 13th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at American Gymnastics located at 881 Shoreline Drive in Aurora (Near Rte 34 and 75th Street). Entrance to the clinic is free, please bring a donation item (listed below) for the Naperville Humane Society as we help them protect animals and prevent animal suffering in our area.
Spread the word to all current cheerleaders, past cheerleaders, tumblers, friends, neighbors and relatives looking to do something fun this summer! Our clinic is tailored to children 5-14 years old. The children will be split into groups, based on age and ability, and will participate in the following stations: warm up, tumbling, cheer/dance and jumps/stunts. The cheerleaders will also learn several 2009 NYFL cheers/stunts. At 11:45 a.m., they will showcase their cheer and tumbling talent for their parents!
This is a great opportunity to meet our new cheer directors and learn more about our enhanced 2009 cheer program while the kids have fun! We will be providing information, selling spirit items and answering questions about our fall cheer program. Cheer clinic spaces are limited, register by July 9th for a guaranteed space and a newly chosen free gift. To register, please call co-cheer director Jennifer at (630) 585-9072 and leave your child's name and age or go online to www.nyfl.org and create/log in to your account. Once logged in, select the free cheer clinic and add yourself to the list. All registrations made by July 9th will be accepted!
Donation Items: Premium dry kitten, cat, puppy or dog food. Clay cat litter, cat treats, cat beds. Soft dog treats, kong toys, rawhides (American made only, please). Bleach, hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, latex gloves, cotton balls.

The NYFL is an interleague youth football organization. We allow particpation from ages 6 to 14. Some of the major benefits of our organization include:
* Guaranteed Starting Position: we believe that every child should have an active experience in game situations. We guarantee that every child in our league will be given a starting position on the field.
* Must Play League: having a true game experience is vital for the development of football knowledge. The NYFL requires that all players get on the field for at least half of every game. We also limit the number of players per team to under 22 so that multiple players get to experience playing both ways.
* Single Practice Location for all Teams: even if you are not on the same team our single practice location makes carpooling easy.
* High Quality Equipment: the NYFL has always provided quality equipment to our participants. Each player is provided shoulder pads and all leg pads. We also provide practice and game pants, there is no need to purchase any of these. The NYFL does sell discounted football helmets for the benefit of our players, we custom fit these to each participant.
* High Quality Personalized Game Jersey: every player in the NYFL will receive a customized game jersey with their last name printed on the back. The players get to KEEP these jerseys at the end of the season.
* Team Balancing: the NYFL has a balancing formula that we have implemented over the years, this formula helps establish balanced competition throughout the league.
* 51 Years of Experience: the NYFL celebrated it's 50th anniversery last year, this will be our 51st year of providing a quality experience to the youth football community.
Registration for the 2009 Football Season is now open. We have also opened registration for our 2009 Full Contact Football Camp at North Central College. Naperville Cheerleading is also open for registration. We look forward to an execellent 2009 season and appreciate your praticipation. |
We appreciate all of the hard work our volunteers provide! High school volunteers, we would love for you to earn your service hours with the NYFL Cheer program.
